So the poem by Daniil Kharms tells about a man who left the house and disappeared without a trace. The work was published in 1937, when thousands of people disappeared without a trace in the dungeons and camps of the NKVD.

Yes, those are the old days. However, I fear the future because we are silent about the past. Too many pages are turned, faces are erased too hard, and destinies are forgotten too easily.
