Olga Butenop was born in 1985 in Moscow, Soviet Union. Now she lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Olga graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow. Olga also graduated from the Biological Faculty of Moscow State University and completed retraining as a photojournalist at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University.
In 2014 she won the Special Prize in the nomination for "video work" at IV Krasnoyarsk International Media Art Festival. Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
In 2017 and 2018 she was ranked Top 100 young artists - InArt.
Olga's works have been exhibited in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia, and Russia.
She participated in the 5th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, IV Krasnoyarsk International Media Art Festival, International Video Art Festival "Now&After’14, 17 International Art Fair, Miami New Media Festival 2022, etc...
Olga is a founder of the Media project "ART UZEL", the media resource about contemporary art.
